Gino’s East River North Brewery Now Open
Gino’s East is now brewing their own beer to drink with deep dish pizza at their River North location in Chicago. Kevin McMahon is their brewmaster, formerly of Abita Brewing in Louisiana. Their first four brews: Black Rye IPA, Pale Ale, Belgian Whit, and German Helles. They’ll be adding specialty and seasonal brews as the spirit moves them.

Purcellville, Virginia is only 50 miles west of Washington, D.C., certainly close enough for a day trip. The town has a winery, a brewery, and a distillery, along with a great burger shop and coffee shop to help counteract the effects of your liquor tourism. Giordano’s is bringing Chicago deep-dish pizza to Indy in February. They are one of the 20 new restaurants in the works for Indy in 2015, and the Indianapolis Star takes a look at all of them, including a new brewpub, a meatball restaurant, and a restaurant specializing in the legs of all sorts of creatures (?!) served with bacon (can they possibly have that right?)
