Coeur d’Alene ID Conducting Food Truck Test Run
On April 12th, five food trucks will gather to do business in the lower parking lot of Coeur d’Alene’s city hall. If the City Council views it as a success, they may allow a larger gathering of food trucks for Car d’Lane in June, and perhaps future events. The food trucks taking part in the trial include Meltz, Jamaican Jerk Pan, 3 Ninjas Mobile Food and Catering, Shameless Sausages, and Coeur de Breizh Crepes.
15 Great Breakfasts in Ontario County NY
Greece Post asked their readers to suggest their favorite breakfast spots, and breakfast dishes, in Ontario County, NY. They produced a list of 15 that is worth investigating. We’ve been to Food at Fishers Station and wholeheartedly agree that it is one of the best places for breakfast, anywhere. We also like the sound of homemade bread at Chit Chat Cafe in Victor, homemade jam at Patty’s Place of Canandaigua, and AYCE pancakes every third Sunday, hosted by the Cheshire Volunteer Fire Department. Ontario County lies mostly south of the New York Thruway, a little east of Rochester.
More Info On Giordano’s Evanston Closing
We posted yesterday about the closure of the Evanston, IL Giordano’s over the weekend. Today we learned why it closed. Giordano’s had sued the franchisee for violating his non-compete agreement, and last week an arbitration panel ruled in favor of Giordano’s. The franchise agreement for both the Evanston and Morton Grove Giordano’s were terminated, closing them both. Giordano’s says they hope to reopen both restaurants.
Moomers of Traverse City MI Opens for Season
We see nothing inappropriate about the urge for ice cream during the deepest, darkest days of mid-winter, but not everyone shares our year-round passion. Hence, the seasonal closings of many fine ice cream stores. So when they start to rise from their winter slumbers, we know that the spring thaw is nigh. Moomers of Traverse City, Michigan just opened their doors this past Friday, adding three new flavors to celebrate: peanut butter and jelly, peanut brittle made with local candy, and a SaMOOa take on the Girl Scout’s Samoa (caramel, coconut, chocolate) cookies.
