Top 10 Charleston Restaurants
Charleston, SC is one of America’s best, and most unique, eating cities. The Daily Meal has posted their choices for the ten best places to eat in Charleston and, while we would certainly dispute their choices (which is the point of compiling and posting such a list), you won’t go wrong using their story during your next Charleston sojourn. At the very least, be sure to get to FIG and Hominy Grill.

Once a yinzer, always a yinzer. We don’t know why but it seems that people from Pittsburgh carry their birth identity with them no matter where they end up, more so than most folks. If you know a displaced Pittsburgher, this list of uniquely Pittsburgh gifts, from Triblive, might be of use to you this Christmas.
There’s a lot more than food on the list but, of course, it’s the edibles that caught our attention. We already wrote about the Primanti’s box newly available this year, but how about an Isaly’s chipped chopped ham box, or a Prantl’s Burnt Almond Torte? Your yinzer needs to lose a few pounds? Get her or him a Heinz ketchup bottle, pickle, pierogi, or stuffed cabbage tree ornament.
Detroit Coneys in Florida
Coneys are a passion in Detroit, and there’s nothing that’ll thrill a Detroit expat more than finding an authentic Detroit coney in their new hometown. John Tanasychuk, originally from the Motor City, now writing for Florida’s Sun Sentinel, claims to have found just such a place in Delray Beach, run by folks from Michigan. Read about it here.
