Gramma Debbie has been selling her somewhat odd combination of comfort food and sort-of-health food in the Findlay Market since 2010. Some of her food is ready to eat on the spot; much of it is ready for you to cook or heat at home, like marinated chicken breasts, stuffed peppers, and turkey burgers.

She calls this Party Slaw, which adds Craisins, raisins, and pecans to the cabbage. The sweet slaw is very, very good!

She makes her own goetta as well as, believe it or not, vegan goetta, made with tofu, flax seeds, and quinoa. There’s also a very unhealthfood sounding (but also delicious-sounding) goetta breakfast casserole, which layers the sausage loaf with hash browns, cheddar cheese, and sour cream, all baked in an egg custard.

Gramma Debbie has been running her food stall in the great Findlay Market since 2010.

Gramma offers three kinds of vegan burgers but, on the other hand, you can also bring home a container of sausage gravy (made with Gramma’s sausage) and homemade biscuits for heating at home. The two things we tried, the Party Slaw and the Italian chicken meatballs, certainly have us suspecting that Gramma knows her way around the kitchen. We’d love to explore some more.
