Chipotle Peanut Brittle. Double-Hop Caramel. Vegan Horchata. Durian, made with the fruit, not flavoring. Coffee floats and ice cream macarons. Those are just a few of the dozens of flavors and frozen concoctions you’ll have the opportunity to sample and purchase at Seattle’s first annual Ice Cream Festival, to be held this Sunday, May 22nd, from noon until 5 p.m.
The folks at Kurt Farm Shop in Seattle’s Chophouse Row have invited 11 other top local artisan ice cream makers to join them in celebrating what they are calling the beginning of “ice cream season” (which we thought runs from July 17th through July 16th). Admission and samples are free, while full-size servings will be available for purchase. Chophouse Row is at 1424 11th Avenue. Check out this Seattle Met story to read about each of the dozen ice cream artisans planning to attend.
