As we alluded to in our post last week about their 2017 Detroit opening, Shake Shack will be making Minnesota the 15th state to host the burger and shake restaurant. That debut will take place next week, June 9th, in the Culinary on North expansion of the Mall of America in Bloomington. Beef will be supplied locally by the Revier Cattle Company of Olivia. They’ll be pouring local craft brews from Summit, Lift Bridge, Badger Hill, Grain Belt, and Brau Brothers.

The Shack-cago Dog will be on the Minnesota menu.

As always, we love to hear about the two new frozen custard concretes designed specifically for the new market. Here’s what they have planned for Minnesota: Malt of America features vanilla custard, peanut butter sauce, marshmallow sauce, crumbled sugar cone cookie, and malt powder, while Butter Coffee Blend mixes together vanilla custard, butter-coffee caramel sauce, and a shortbread cookie. 5% of Malt of America sales will be donated to Open Arms of Minnesota.
