It’s hard to think about Louisiana without thinking about all the incredible seafood they pull out of the local waters. And nowhere else in America is seafood prepared with such care and passion. If we were in NOLA this weekend we’d head straight for the Louisiana Seafood Festival, going on in City Park through Sunday. There’s live music, celebrity chefs, a kid’s tent, a beer garden, an arts village … but best of all, an amazing selection of seafood from some of the region’s finest restaurants.

We especially like the sounds of the fried shrimp BLT and shrimp rémoulade from Galatoire’s. Antoine’s will be serving up oysters, artichokes, and andouille in a sauce over bow-tie pasta. There’ll be Cafe Reconcile‘s bananas Foster bread pudding. Even the Ya-Ka-Mein Lady will be there! Check this page for the full menu of offerings.
