Tuesday night, March 10th, the 12th annual Taste of Coastal Carolina will be held in New Bern, North Carolina at the Riverfront Convention Center. Tickets are $35 ($40 at the door), which gets you unlimited samplings from 30 area restaurants, including first-time attendee Skylight Inn BBQ from Ayden. You’ll also get to vote on your favorites, with the winner receiving a trophy. Proceeds help to support the Neuse Riverkeeper Foundation.

Dave Barry, interviewed by Randall Beach of the New Haven Register during his first-ever visit to the city, couldn’t stop raving about his pizza at the great Pepe’s. It was enough for him to proclaim New Haven the finest city in the world. What did he have on his pizza? Sausage and anchovies. Sausage and anchovies! We love sausage. We love anchovies. But sausage AND anchovies? Ugh!
